What Is Super Resolution?
Super resolution increases image resolution using AI, adding plausible detail that simple resizing cannot. Colorify uses Real-ESRGAN for 2× or 4× upscaling.
When to Use It
Low-resolution photos, thumbnails, screenshots, or any image you need larger for print or display. Works on both color and grayscale images.
Step-by-Step on Colorify
- Go to the home page and select Super Resolution.
- Upload your image (PNG, JPG, WEBP, up to 50MB).
- Click Process. Wait for processing (30 seconds to a few minutes).
- Download the upscaled image.
Best Practices
Start with the clearest source. Avoid heavily compressed images. GPU processing is faster; CPU uses tiling and may take longer.
Common Issues
Large images may time out—try a smaller crop first. Very low-res images (e.g., 64×64) may not improve dramatically.
