Face Enhancement Guide
What Is Face Enhancement?
GFPGAN improves facial detail in photos—reducing blur, restoring texture, and fixing common artifacts. Adjustable strength controls how subtle or strong the effect is.
When to Use It
Portraits, group photos, old scans with soft faces. Works when faces are at least 64×64 pixels and clearly visible.
Step-by-Step
- Select Face Enhancement.
- Upload your image.
- Adjust strength (default 1.0). Lower = subtle, higher = stronger.
- Process and download.
Best Practices
Start with strength 1.0. Increase only if results are too subtle. Don't over-enhance—it can look unnatural.
Common Issues
Very low resolution faces won't improve much. Multiple faces: the model processes the whole image. Some smoothing is normal.
