What is Colorify.pro?
Colorify.pro is a professional AI-powered image processing platform. We offer tools for photo colorization, super resolution upscaling, background removal, face enhancement, denoising, sharpening, format conversion, and compression. All tools use state-of-the-art machine learning models including Real-ESRGAN, GFPGAN, and U²-Net.
Is Colorify.pro free to use?
Yes. Our core image processing features are free to use. You can create an account to save your processing history and download results. Registration is optional for browsing, but required when uploading and processing images.
What image formats are supported?
We support common image formats including PNG, JPEG, JPG, and WEBP. The maximum file size is 50MB per image. For format conversion, we can output PNG, JPEG, WEBP (lossy and lossless), TIFF, and BMP.
Features & Tools
What is Super Resolution and when should I use it?
Super Resolution uses Real-ESRGAN AI to upscale your images up to 4× while preserving detail and avoiding over-sharpening. It's ideal for low-resolution photos, thumbnails, or screenshots you want to print or display at higher resolution. Processing time depends on image size and whether you're using GPU or CPU.
How does AI Colorization work?
Our colorization uses deep learning models trained on millions of color images to predict realistic colors for black-and-white photos. The AI analyzes shapes, textures, and context to apply natural skin tones, skies, vegetation, and other colors. Results work best on clear, well-lit grayscale photos.
What is Colorize & Restore?
Colorize & Restore is a combined pipeline: it first restores damaged areas (scratches, folds, spots), then colorizes the image, and finally enhances faces. It's designed for old or damaged black-and-white photos that need full restoration and colorization in one step.
Can I remove backgrounds from images?
Yes. Our Background Removal tool uses the U²-Net AI model to detect and remove backgrounds, producing images with transparent backgrounds (PNG). This is useful for product photos, portraits, and graphics. The output maintains clean edges around the subject.
What does Face Enhancement do?
Face Enhancement uses GFPGAN to improve facial details in photos—reducing blur, restoring fine features, and fixing common artifacts. It works best on portraits and group photos with visible faces. You can adjust the enhancement strength for subtle or stronger results.
Privacy & Security
What happens to my uploaded images?
Your images are processed on our servers to run the AI models. We store them temporarily to provide you with processed results and history. We do not use your images for training or marketing. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Is my data secure?
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your account and images. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We recommend not uploading sensitive or confidential images if you have concerns about cloud processing.
Technical
Why does processing take a long time?
AI models are computationally intensive. Super resolution and colorize-restore especially can take 30 seconds to several minutes depending on image size and server load. We optimize for quality and reliability. Smaller images generally process faster.
What if processing fails?
If you see an error, try uploading a smaller image or a different format. Ensure the file is under 50MB and in a supported format. If issues persist, contact us via the Contact page with details.
